Ritu Malu accident case: CA report still awaited
CID tells Nagpur court the chemical analyser report in the speeding-car deaths of two men is yet to arrive; next hearing on October 1.

The chemical analyser (CA) report in the Ritu Malu case, involving the deaths of two people in a speeding car collision on Ram Jhula, has still not been received. The CID gave this information during a hearing on Tuesday in the court of District and Additional Sessions Judge Brahmanand Dhanure. The next hearing in the case will be held on October 1.
According to the accident, which took place on the night of February 24, Ritika alias Ritu Malu and Madhuri Shishir Sarda were leaving CP Club in a Mercedes car. The investigation found that Ritu Malu was driving the car. While going from Jaystambh Chowk towards Mayo Hospital Chowk, the car hit a two-wheeler. Mohammad Hussain Gulam Mustafa (34) and Mohammad Atif Mohammad Zia (32) died in the accident.
Tehsil police had registered a case in the matter, after which the investigation was handed over to the CID. On September 2, the district court framed charges against Ritu Malu, Dinesh Bajranglal Malu and Madhuri Sarda under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Motor Vehicles Act.
At Tuesday's hearing, the state government also submitted an application seeking a direction to the forensic science department to obtain the CA report soon. Advocate R.K. Tiwari appeared for the defence and advocate Rashmi Khaparde for the state government.
