Illegal liquor found hidden under home shrine in Nagpur police raid
Nagpur police raiding the home of an externed bootlegger found liquor bottles buried in a tank beneath his household shrine.
A startling case has come to light in Wadi, Nagpur, where illegal liquor seller Mahadev alias Mogli Kunnur had built a tank under a home shrine to store liquor. Mogli had been externed for 10 days ahead of Ganeshotsav. During a search of his house, police suspected liquor was hidden beneath the spot used for worship.
When the platform kept for worship was removed, liquor bottles were found buried underground. Even the police team was stunned to see this. Police recovered the liquor and took Mogli into custody. A case has been registered against him under the Prohibition Act.
