Write your piece
PT24 Awaaz is for what you have seen, lived or struggled with in the city. Write in Hindi, Marathi, Kannada or English, 100 to 900 words. Every piece is read by two PT24 editors before it appears. We edit for language, length and law, never for meaning; if we need to change anything substantial we will ask you first.
We will not publish personal details of other people, accusations we cannot check, hate, advertising, or campaigning during an election period. You may publish under your own name or a display name, but we always know who you are. You must be 18 or older.
A moderator will call the number you give to confirm it was you.
What we collect, why, for how long, and your rights
What we collect: your name, mobile number, area, your piece and any photographs, and, if you give it, your email. Why: to verify that you are a real person, to edit and publish your piece under the name you choose, to contact you about it, to let people named in it reply, and to answer any complaint about it.
How long: if your piece is not published, we erase your details 90 days after we tell you. If it is published, we keep your name and number for 3 years after publication to deal with replies, corrections and complaints, then erase them.
Your rights: you can withdraw this consent at any time by writing to the grievance officer named below; withdrawing is as easy as consenting. You can ask us to correct or erase your details, or to take your piece down, at the same address. You can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
