Wardha city police bar 53 habitual offenders ahead of Pola, Ganesh festivities

Wardha City police station has taken a strict step to ensure the Pola festival and Ganesh Sthapana pass off peacefully. Station house officer Nageshkumar Chatarkar made public the names of recorded offenders and liquor sellers registered within the police station's jurisdiction and barred all of them from entering the limits of Wardha City police station. The list has 53 names in all.

The age and address of each person have been listed alongside their name, and all belong to different localities in Wardha.

All 53 offenders have been barred from entering the limits of Wardha City police station. As a result, the Pola and Tanha Pola festivals passed off peacefully with no untoward incident reported anywhere. Police said the Ganesh Sthapana is expected to pass off just as peacefully.

The action was carried out jointly by police inspector Nageshkumar Chatarkar, assistant police inspector of the crime detection squad Sharad Gaikwad, and a team of police constables Hadke, Bansod, Patil and Vanjari.
