Wardha district police held their monthly crime review meeting for August 2026 on September 8, 2026 in Pulgaon, Wardha district. Superintendent of Police Saurabh Kumar Agrawal and Additional Superintendent of Police, Wardha, Sadashiv Waghmare were among those present. The meeting was called to review law and order across the district.

At the start of the meeting, officers from various sub-divisions and branches gave presentations on key technical and legal issues. Hinganghat Sub-Divisional Police Officer Sushil Kumar Naik gave a detailed briefing on a proposal for action under the PIT NDPS Act.

Wardha Sub-Divisional Police Officer Sunil Mahadik then gave a presentation on standard operating procedures for controlling noise pollution. He spoke about punitive action under the Maharashtra Police Act, provisions for preventing nuisance under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), environmental protection law, noise pollution rules, motor vehicle law, and the power to issue notices under NC, as well as action taken under the Bombay Police Act, MCOCA and the Maharashtra Police Act against those who resist.

Pulgaon Sub-Divisional Police Officer Vandana Karkhele gave a presentation on self-assessment. Police Inspector Chandrakant Patil of the cyber police station spoke in detail about the use of the NATGRID system.

The officer in charge of the ATS Nagpur unit gave a presentation on counter-terrorism systems and the Anti-Terrorism Squad. With the Ganeshotsav festival approaching, Assistant Police Inspector Milind Davane of the special branch (DSB) presented security planning, while the DSB officer in charge briefed the meeting on the branch's work.

Additional Superintendent of Police, Wardha, Sadashiv Waghmare reviewed matters related to NCL.

After all the presentations, Superintendent of Police Saurabh Kumar Agrawal gave instructions to the officers at the crime review meeting. He said strict action would be taken against drugs and that public awareness on the issue would also be increased.
