Ulhasnagar mother searches streets with banner as missing son stays untraced for 15 days
A teenage boy who walked out after being scolded on Raksha Bandhan has not returned, and his mother is now scouring Ulhasnagar's streets for him.
A heartbreaking case has come to light from Ulhasnagar. After a minor argument between a brother and sister on Raksha Bandhan, the mother scolded her son, and he left home in anger. Fifteen days have passed and the boy has not returned.
The missing boy has been identified as Prashik Bhoir. His mother, Vandana Bhoir, said Prashik and his sister had a small argument on Raksha Bandhan, after which she scolded Prashik. He left home following this incident. The family initially thought he would return soon, but as the days passed and he did not come back, their worry grew.
Since Prashik went missing, Vandana Bhoir has been searching for him at different places. She has been walking the streets holding a banner with her son's photograph and asking people for information. She is trying to ensure that anyone with information about Prashik passes it on to her or to the police.
According to Vandana Bhoir, two of her children died in childhood. After her brother died, she also took on the responsibility of raising his children, a son and a daughter, bringing them home and raising them. She said her husband is undergoing treatment for cancer. Vandana runs an auto-rickshaw in the Ulhasnagar area to support the family while also managing her husband's treatment.
Caught between running the household, managing her husband's treatment and searching for her missing son, Vandana Bhoir has been running from place to place. "The police should find my son immediately and bring him back safely," she said. The family has demanded that the matter be taken seriously and that Prashik be traced at the earliest.
