Swiggy Dineout has relaunched its flagship dining campaign, the Great Indian Restaurant Festival (GIRF), under a new name: the Great Indian Ravi Festival. The campaign is built entirely around actor Ravi Kishan, who is currently trending widely on the internet.

The campaign's tagline is "Discount Follows My Brother", a line drawn from a Ravi Kishan dialogue that recently went viral on social media, now tied to the festival's core offer of steep dining discounts. This edition of GIRF will run from September 14, 2026 to October 24, 2026.

Customers can get up to 50% off at more than 57,000 restaurants across over 84 cities in India, spanning cafes, pubs, bars, luxury dining venues and family restaurants. All HDFC Bank cards will get an additional instant 10% discount, and every booking made through Dineout will earn 10% back as DineCash.

The company says renaming GIRF is not just a branding exercise but a response to a larger trend already underway online. Ravi Kishan has been a familiar face in Indian cinema for decades, and his dialogues, expressions and style have recently been widely remixed and shared on social media. Rather than simply tapping into the trend, Swiggy Dineout built an entire festival around it.

In the campaign, Ravi Kishan is not just a brand ambassador but the face, voice and personality of the entire festival. The main campaign film portrays him as a philosopher figure dispensing wisdom in his signature style, with popular internet references such as "Jaldi the Late" and "Home from Work" tying his fans' favourite content to the world of dining out.

Dhruvish Thakkar, AVP Marketing and Revenue at Swiggy Dineout, said, "GIRF is one of India's largest dining movements, and our goal every year is to reach customers wherever they are. Over the past few years we have partnered with trending celebrities and internet icons for GIRF. This time we have gone a step further and renamed GIRF as the Great Indian Ravi Festival. Ravi Kishan is not just being talked about right now, he has become a trend himself and has been trending continuously on social media for the past few weeks. So instead of simply riding that wave, we decided to build this year's entire festival around him. The discount truly follows the brother, and we hope this new avatar of GIRF finds a large audience."

The festival covers major dining cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Chennai, as well as emerging food destinations like Goa, Jaipur, Indore, Coimbatore, Chandigarh, Lucknow and Udaipur. This edition includes popular brands such as Good Flippin Burgers, Punjab Grill, Yumi, One8 Commune, Mainland China, Paradise Biryani and Absolute Barbecue.

The Great Indian Ravi Festival will also be rolled out across digital, social and creator ecosystems, as well as in-app storytelling formats on the Dineout platform, featuring Ravi Kishan in a way meant to match his current omnipresence online.
