Engineering student dies after falling off Sakkardara flyover in Nagpur

A 22-year-old engineering student died on Thursday after falling from his two-wheeler off the Sakkardara flyover in Nagpur, an accident that shook the surrounding area.

Prajit Bhimrao Wahane was crossing the flyover on his two-wheeler around 10:15 am when he lost control of the vehicle and fell off the flyover along with it, suffering severe injuries.

Nagpur police reached the spot soon after being alerted and rushed Prajit, who was in a critical condition, to Medical Hospital, where doctors began treating him. His condition kept worsening during treatment, and despite efforts by doctors and hospital staff, he could not be saved and died while undergoing treatment. News of the young student's death caused grief among his family and acquaintances.

Questions are now being raised over how the accident happened. Police's initial investigation suggests the two-wheeler may have been travelling at high speed, causing Prajit to lose control of the vehicle. However, police have not yet confirmed the exact cause of the accident, and it remains unclear whether speed was indeed the reason or whether some other factor was involved.

To get to the bottom of the accident, police are examining footage from CCTV cameras at and around the site. They expect the footage to clarify the situation just before the accident and establish what exactly happened on the flyover at the time. Police have begun their investigation into the case, and the full picture is expected to emerge once the exact cause is established.
