Wardha guardian minister wants more youths hired at job mega-mela

Guardian minister Dr Pankaj Bhoyar has directed officials to bring in as many listed companies as possible for the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Rozgar Mahakumbh job fairs to be held at 11 places in Wardha district on September 29, and to plan to fill the companies' vacancies through these fairs. He said the fairs were a big opportunity for the district's youth and that as many young people as possible should be brought in to participate.

The minister gave these instructions while reviewing preparations for the job fairs at a meeting in the district collector's office. The meeting was attended by district collector Vanmathi C, district superintendent of police Saurabh Kumar Agrawal, assistant commissioner of the district skill development, employment and entrepreneurship guidance department Dr Sudhakar Jhalke, district planning committee member Sanjay Gate, and officers of concerned departments.

The minister said efforts should be made to ensure degree and postgraduate youths get as much employment as possible at the fairs, and that necessary facilities be provided so that young men and women attending face no difficulty. He said separate stalls should be set up for companies at the venues, and that plans be made to hand appointment letters on the spot to youths selected by listed companies.

He said the participation of listed companies at the fairs was essential, and that the skill development department, with help from the industries department, should personally contact listed companies and collect information on how many vacancies they have and how many posts will be filled through the fairs. He directed that plans be made so that as many companies as possible are present to interview job-seeking youths and hire them.

Under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Rozgar Mahakumbh, job fairs and placement drives will be held on the same day at more than 500 places across the state, of which 11 are in Wardha district. The guardian minister said it is the government's role to ensure every youth in the state gets employment according to their ability, and that the fair in the district is being held in keeping with that role. Candidates will get suitable employment opportunities and necessary guidance through the fair based on their educational qualifications, skills and experience. Young men and women wishing to attend must register through a Google link.

The 11 venues in the district where the Rozgar Mahakumbh will be held are Anekant Swadhyay Mandir, Ramnagar, Wardha; Kala Vanijya Mahavidyalaya, Arvi; R.V. Parankar College of Engineering and Technology, Arvi; Lokmanya Mahavidyalaya, Ashti; Model High School, Karanja; Hardayal Industrial Training Institute, Pulgaon; Ramdasji Tadas Non-Government Industrial Training Institute, Deoli; Ra.Su. Bidkar Mahavidyalaya, Hinganghat; Laghu Udyog Bharati (Shyam Baba Traders), Hinganghat; Vidya Vikas Mahavidyalaya, Samudrapur; and Dr R.G. Bhoyar Mahavidyalaya, Selu.
