National Test House opens 36 young professional posts across several cities
Contract posts at the National Test House span Mumbai, Kolkata and other cities, with applications open until September 25, 2026.
The National Test House (NTH), under the Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, has invited applications for 36 Young Professional posts. The appointments will be on a contract basis, with postings in Ghaziabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Jaipur, Guwahati, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Bengaluru and Varanasi.
The National Test House is the body that tests the quality, safety and technical standards of various products, machinery and materials. Selected candidates will be given technical or management responsibilities depending on their qualifications.
The recruitment has separate posts for Senior and Junior Young Professionals. The Senior Young Professional category includes technical posts in RPPT, electrical, civil and management. The Junior Young Professional category includes posts in chemical, mechanical, civil, electrical, microbiology, IT, aerospace, drone and RPPT.
For the senior posts, candidates must hold a B.E./B.Tech or M.Sc. in the relevant subject along with three years of experience. For management posts, a postgraduate diploma or MBA with three years of experience is required. For junior posts, candidates need a B.E./B.Tech, M.Sc., M.Tech or MCA degree in the relevant subject, generally with one year of experience.
The age limit will be calculated as on the last date for applications, September 25, 2026. The maximum age for Junior Young Professionals is 35 years, while for Senior Young Professionals it is 38 years.
Senior Young Professionals will be paid a monthly honorarium of Rs 70,000, and Junior Young Professionals Rs 40,000. The honorarium will increase by Rs 5,000 a year on renewal of the term. The initial contract will be for one year and can be extended up to a maximum of four years based on performance.
Candidates must fill the prescribed application form and attach the required documents along with an updated CV. The form must be sent to the official email address of the relevant NTH office. Separate email addresses have been provided for Ghaziabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jaipur, Guwahati, Bengaluru and Varanasi, and candidates must send their applications to the email address of their respective centre by September 25, 2026.
