India have already taken a 2-0 lead in the three-match T20 series against Afghanistan. Two matches of the series have been completed, and India have won both. But young batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi did not get a chance to play in either match. Now the third and final match of the series is to be played on September 17, and it remains uncertain whether Vaibhav will get a chance in this one either.

Wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson batted superbly in the second match, after which the team management's confidence in him has grown stronger. Given Sanju's aggressive batting, it is being considered almost impossible to leave him out of the third match. In such a scenario, Vaibhav Suryavanshi may once again have to sit on the bench.

The third and decisive match will be played on September 17. All eyes are now on whether the team management makes an unexpected change in this last match to give Vaibhav a chance, or whether Sanju Samson is trusted again.

Opener Abhishek Sharma may not have played a big innings in the second match, but given his blistering half-century in the first match and his aggressive batting style, his place in the team is considered fully secure. This is why the pair of Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson could once again be seen opening the innings. In this T20 series against Afghanistan, Sanju Samson's strong batting has made it even harder for young batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi to find a place in the playing eleven.

Afghanistan's team is as follows: Ibrahim Zadran (captain), Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wicketkeeper), Sediqullah Atal, Darwish Rasooli, Azmatullah Omarzai, Gulbadin Naib, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman/Naveen-ul-Haq, Noor Ahmad and Fazalhaq Farooqi.

The Indian team includes Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (wicketkeeper), Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer (captain), Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravi Bishnoi.
