Vigilance awareness event held at Gondia RSETI on Bank of India anniversary
Bank of India marked its 121st anniversary with a vigilance awareness programme at Gondia RSETI, focused on cyber safety.
Vigilance Awareness Day was observed on Monday to mark the 121st anniversary of Bank of India in Gondia. The event was held at the Bank of India Star Rural Self Employment Training Institute, or RSETI, Gondia, and was sponsored by the lead district bank.
Sanjay from the cyber crime department attended the programme. Dr Mausami Tiwari, Dr Nikhil Nagpure, Dr Gagan Tembhre and Dr Shivani Harinkhede from the Indian Dental Association were also present.
Institute director Abdul Waseem welcomed the dignitaries and gave the opening remarks. All the dignitaries present, along with the institute's staff and trainees, then took an integrity pledge.
Cyber crime department official Sanjay gave detailed information on vigilance to trainees at RSETI Gondia who are undergoing training in assistant bookkeeping, CCTV installation and servicing, and mushroom cultivation. He explained how citizens are cheated through mobile phones and how to safely use Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. He also explained how two-factor authentication can help secure an account, and how to safely use UPI payments and ATMs through mobile phones.
He said that anyone who falls victim to online fraud should contact the number 1930 or file a complaint on the website http://cybercrime.gov.in.
Dr Mausami Tiwari of the Indian Dental Association spoke on skill development and women's empowerment. She praised RSETI Gondia's work in developing entrepreneurship and vocational skills among boys and girls in rural areas.
Dr Nikhil Nagpure gave detailed information on oral health and dental care. He said every person should recognise their skills and develop them further, which can lead to success in life.
