The 'one village, one Ganpati' initiative run by the public Ganeshotsav mandal in Bopegaon village of Wai taluka has completed 26 years. The celebration was held in the village amid great enthusiasm and a devotional atmosphere. Minister Makarand Patil himself attended the welcoming ceremony for Lord Ganesh and performed the aarti.

The public Ganeshotsav mandal in Bopegaon was established by Minister Makarand Patil, which is why he has a special attachment to the Ganeshotsav in Bopegaon. For the past 26 years, the villagers have continuously upheld the tradition of 'one village, one Ganpati'. Through this tradition, unity, brotherhood and social harmony have been continuously maintained in the village, and the villagers carry it forward every year with the same devotion.

Speaking on the occasion, Makarand Patil said that for the past 26 years, the villagers of Bopegaon have carried forward the tradition of 'one village, one Ganpati' with devotion, unity and social responsibility, and that this is truly a matter of pride. Prayers were offered at the feet of Lord Ganesh for the happiness, prosperity, good health and progress of all villagers, including Bopegaon. It was also hoped that unity and social harmony in the village would continue to be strengthened through the Ganeshotsav, and that this tradition would continue in the same way in the coming years.

Present on the occasion were mandal president Abhaysinh Mohan Gaikwad, vice-president Hrishikesh Shinde, treasurer Anil Ramrao Jadhav and secretary Jitendra Sopan Jadhav. Along with them, a large number of villagers including Anupam Jadhav, Kshitij Jadhav, Gaurav Jadhav and Advait Jadhav took part in the celebration. The whole of Bopegaon was immersed in a devotional atmosphere with chants of 'Ganpati Bappa Morya'.
