Man glued to phone on rooftop walks straight into gap, falls; video goes viral

A video showing a man falling from a terrace while engrossed in his mobile phone has gone viral on social media.

In the video, a man is seen walking on a terrace with his attention fixed entirely on his phone, so much so that he is not looking where he is going. A short distance ahead there is a large open gap in the floor, but absorbed in his phone he fails to notice it. As a result, his foot lands in the empty space and he falls straight down. He gets no chance to steady himself or break the fall before the accident happens. Everyone nearby is left stunned. Towards the end of the video, people are seen rushing down the stairs to help him. The fall from the upper floor would certainly have injured him, but no confirmed information about his condition has emerged yet.

The video was shared from the X account @gharkekalesh. It has been viewed more than seven hundred thousand times so far, and many users have reacted to it. One user wrote, "What a terrible floor design, there was no need to leave an empty space in the middle of it." Another user wrote, "But what is that empty space there for?" Another user commented, "This happened because of the strange floor design, arrest the interior designer or architect immediately."
