An opening has come up for job seekers with experience in Chandrapur. The Priyadarshani Indira Gandhi cultural hall, run under the district collector's office, is inviting applications for the post of manager. The recruitment will be on an 11-month contract, and the selected manager will be paid a monthly honorarium of Rs 16,000.

Interested and eligible candidates must submit their applications by September 25, 2026. Resident Deputy Collector D.S. Kumbhar has issued an official notice regarding this.

Applications are being invited from qualified and experienced people to work on an honorarium basis at the cultural hall in Chandrapur. The appointment will be temporary and made under an 11-month contract.

On eligibility, a retired official or employee, or a person with at least 10 years of experience in a government or non-government office, will be eligible for the post. The applicant must reside at the Chandrapur headquarters and must hold a graduation degree. Knowledge of computers and a pass in MS-CIT are also mandatory.

The selected manager will have to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the Priyadarshani Indira Gandhi cultural hall. Other responsibilities will include booking the hall for events for various individuals and organisations, maintaining accounts of the hall's income and expenditure, keeping records of events held there, and working as directed by senior officials.

Those who wish to apply must submit their applications with the required documents to the Assistant Entertainment Tax Officer at the district collector's office, Chandrapur, between September 15 and 25, 2026, during office hours. Applications received after September 25 will not be considered.

The selected candidate's appointment will be entirely temporary and contract-based for 11 months, at the discretion of the Chandrapur district collector. If the work is not found satisfactory during this period, the administration will have the right to terminate the service without prior notice. This appointment will not confer any right to a regular job. The person will also not be entitled to leave, compensation, medical reimbursement, service seniority, pension or any other service benefits.

If the hall suffers financial loss due to the manager's negligence or fault, the district collector will have the right to recover the amount from the honorarium. The service will end automatically on completion of the contract period. If the work is found satisfactory, the district collector has reserved the right to grant an extension for a further period as per the rules.

If a person wishes to leave the job before completion of the appointment period, they must give one month's written notice. If notice is not given, one month's honorarium will be deducted. The appointed person will be required to work as per the assigned duties and instructions given by the district collector from time to time, Resident Deputy Collector D.S. Kumbhar said in the notice.
