A special campaign is underway in Buldhana district from October 2 to October 31 to help farmers complete mandatory requirements under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. The District Superintending Agriculture Officer has appealed to eligible farmers in the district to complete Aadhaar linking and e-KYC at the earliest.

Under the scheme, eligible farmer families receive financial assistance through direct benefit transfer. To ensure this benefit reaches only genuine and verified beneficiaries, the central government has made certain conditions mandatory under the scheme, including updating land records, linking bank accounts with Aadhaar, and completing e-KYC. Campaigns and awareness programmes have been run across the country over the past two years to get these conditions fulfilled, including appeals to farmers through Common Service Centres. Despite this, land seeding, Aadhaar seeding or e-KYC remains incomplete for some beneficiaries in the district. Such farmers have been asked to complete their Aadhaar and e-KYC work during this campaign itself.

According to central government instructions, if a beneficiary fails to complete the necessary conditions even during this special campaign, they may have to apply afresh and go through the entire verification process under the prescribed procedure. For this reason, the agriculture administration has asked all eligible farmers to complete all their remaining mandatory conditions before October 31.

On e-KYC, it has been made mandatory to ensure the scheme's benefit reaches only genuine and living beneficiaries. E-KYC is currently pending for 2,028 beneficiaries in the district. In addition, 2,63,807 beneficiaries whose annual e-KYC for 2026-27 is due will also have to complete this process. Farmers can visit their nearest Common Service Centre for biometric verification, or complete the process through the PM-Kisan mobile app.

On linking bank accounts with Aadhaar, around 4,101 beneficiaries in the district have bank accounts that are not yet linked with Aadhaar. Such farmers have been asked to visit their respective banks to get their bank accounts linked with their Aadhaar number. The facility to open a new bank account linked with Aadhaar through India Post Payments Bank is also available. If any farmer faces difficulty in this process, they can contact the concerned bank, the Assistant Agriculture Officer, or agriculture department staff.
