A high-level committee formed to make the recruitment examination system in Maharashtra more effective and transparent will hold its Nagpur dialogue programme on September 16 at 11 am. The event will be held at Niyojan Bhavan in Civil Lines, located behind Sadar police station. The committee's chairperson and members will interact directly with competitive exam candidates, parents, teachers and other stakeholders at the event.

The committee is gathering opinions and suggestions from people across every division of the state in order to improve the recruitment examination system. In Nagpur division too, students and competitive exam candidates can put forward their views, and parents, teachers, representatives of educational institutions, coaching class operators, study room operators, public representatives and ordinary citizens can also submit their suggestions to the committee.

Divisional Commissioner Vijayalaxmi Bidari, at a meeting, appealed to everyone associated with the Nagpur revenue department to take part openly in this dialogue process. She said the matter was directly linked to the future of competitive exam candidates, and that the ground-level experience and suggestions gathered would prove very important in reforming the examination system.

A special cell has been set up at the Collector's office in Nagpur for those who wish to offer suggestions, where opinions and suggestions are being collected from the relevant groups. This special cell will function only until 6 pm on September 15. Those who wish to submit their views in person can do so at the special cell within this fixed time. In addition, for those unable to come in person, the committee has also provided the facility of sending suggestions by email. The email ID for this is: nagpur-examreformstaskforce@maharashtra.gov.in

A meeting held to prepare for the Nagpur dialogue programme was attended by Collector Kumar Ashirwad, Additional Commissioner Pradeep Kulkarni, District Surgeon Nivrutti Rathod and Director of the Information and Public Relations office Dr Ganesh Mule. Officials from the municipal corporation and other related departments also took part in the meeting.

The committee's aim is to bring forward the difficulties, experiences and suggestions of different stakeholders connected with competitive examinations, so that a broad consensus can be prepared for the necessary changes in the recruitment examination system. The dialogue programme being held in Nagpur district is considered an important part of this larger process.
