Vivo V80 tipped with 7,200mAh battery, 50MP ZEISS camera, AI features

Vivo is set to launch another 5G phone in the Indian market, reportedly called the Vivo V80. The company has not yet announced an official launch date for the device, but recent reports suggest it could launch in the first week of October.

The phone is expected to come with a large battery, an AI-powered camera and several new content creation features. On design, the Vivo V80 could get a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display supporting refresh rates of up to 144Hz and peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits.

For performance, the phone may feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, along with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. The battery could be the phone's biggest highlight. According to the report, it may come with a 7,200mAh battery with fast charging support. The device could also get IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering better protection against dust and water.

On the camera front, the Vivo V80 may get an AI Creative Camera with more than 30 effects, letting users create photos and videos for social media directly from the camera app. The phone could also get a live sticker collage feature, allowing users to combine photos and stickers to create customised images.

The new Vivo V80's camera may also include an AI Diwali Portrait 2.0 feature, an upgraded version of the festive photography tools present in the company's previous V-series smartphones. The phone could come with a 50MP ZEISS telephoto camera supporting 3x optical zoom and up to 10x portrait zoom. It is also expected to support 4K cinematic video recording, built-in colour grading and several movie-style presets.
