Rakesh Bapat returns to TV, Sayali Sanjeev to play Ira in new Marathi serial

Actor Rakesh Bapat, popular with both Marathi and Hindi audiences, is set to return to television after a long gap. Star Pravah has released the promo of its new serial "Tujhyakade Tula Magane," in which Bapat plays the lead role. Actress Sayali Sanjeev will play the female lead, a character named Ira, described as a bold, sensible young woman who stands on her own feet.

Ira is in her final year of college. She is affectionate by nature and can calm an angry person with her gentle words. She is very fond of young children and is ready to do anything for good people. But if anyone tries to take advantage of her kindness, this otherwise calm Ira flares up completely against injustice. The makers hope viewers will like this character.

Speaking about her new role, Sayali Sanjeev said, "Ira is very special to me. I have a very old relationship with Star Pravah and I am very happy to be back with this family. And the best part is that this serial was announced right when Ganpati Bappa was arriving, so it feels like his blessing. There are many facets to Ira's character. Rakesh Bapat will also be seen in a completely different role in this serial, playing a single father. In the promo, he has a line, "I am Ishaan's father and I am his mother too." This dialogue moved viewers to tears. His son Ishaan will be played by child actor Kriyaan Pednekar. The serial will tell the story of a father-son relationship.
