Toyota is set to launch the facelift version of its premium hatchback, the Glanza, on October 14.

The company is preparing to launch the Toyota Glanza facelift, which is expected to arrive in October 2026. The new car is expected to get several new features, which could include ADAS, front ventilated seats and a wireless phone charger.

The new Glanza may get a 1.2 litre, three-cylinder Z12E petrol engine in place of the current 1.2 litre, four-cylinder petrol engine. This engine generates 83 hp of power and 112 Nm of torque. It could be offered with a 5-speed manual and AMT automatic gearbox. Besides this, the Glanza could also get a CNG model option, which could generate around 70 hp of power and would come with a manual gearbox.

On design, the current Glanza's look, apart from the front, largely resembles the pre-facelift Baleno. This front look is likely to be retained in the Glanza facelift as well. Compared with the current Glanza, it could get a new grille and a different front bumper. The lighting elements, alloy wheels and rear bumper could remain the same as the current model.

Some new features could also be added to the interior, including level-2 ADAS, front ventilated seats, a wireless phone charger with ventilation and TPMS. It could also get a 9-inch SmartPlay display, a head-up display and a 360-degree surround-view camera. However, this car is unlikely to get a sunroof or a digital driver display.

On price, given the new features and new engine, the new Glanza's price is expected to be slightly higher than the current model. At present, the Glanza is priced between Rs 6.73 lakh and Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The price is expected to see a slight increase because of the facelift. The new Glanza will compete with premium hatchbacks such as the Baleno, Tata Altroz and Hyundai i20.
