Tata Sierra Legend Series launched, prices start at Rs 11.99 lakh

Tata Motors has launched the new Legend Series of its Sierra SUV in the Indian market. The new series comes in five variants - Smart+ L, Pure L, Pure L (O), Pure+ L and Adventure+ L. The starting ex-showroom price of these models has been set at Rs 11.99 lakh. The SUV offers petrol and diesel engine options with manual and automatic gearboxes. Notably, there is no change to the engine or mechanical setup, but the cabin and features have been made more premium.

The base Smart+ L variant gets leatherette seats, steering-mounted controls, auto-folding ORVMs and passive entry with passive start. It also comes with Bi-LED projector headlamps, 6 airbags, an electronic parking brake and an ESP system with over 20 functions. The next variant, Pure L, starts at Rs 13.79 lakh and comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, a 26.03 cm touchscreen, an 8-speaker audio system, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The Pure L (O) variant starts at Rs 14.29 lakh. For Rs 50,000 more than the Pure L, it adds a Panoramax voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers. Above it is the Pure+ L variant, which starts at Rs 14.99 lakh and includes ventilated front seats, a 6-way power driver seat, a thigh-support extender, Boss mode and dual-zone climate control.

The top variant of the Legend Series is the Adventure+ L, which starts at Rs 16.99 lakh. It includes a 360-degree HD surround view system, multiple terrain modes, a 31.24 cm touchscreen, a 26.03 cm digital cockpit, navigation and front parking sensors.

The Sierra Legend Series retains the same three engine options as before - a 1.5-litre Hyperion TGDi petrol, a 1.5-litre Revotron petrol and a 1.5-litre Kryojet diesel. For safety, the SUV gets 6 airbags, all-wheel disc brakes and an ESP system with over 20 functions. The Sierra's body structure has received a 5-star rating in Bharat NCAP crash tests.
