Last week was largely negative for the stock market, which closed in the red. The BSE Sensex fell 1,733.67 points, or 2.26 percent, to close at 74,781.76, while the Nifty 50 dropped 499.6 points, or 2.09 percent, to close at 23,398.10. Despite the fall, some stocks delivered strong performance, giving investors returns of more than 91 percent.

Recently listed ESDS Software was the biggest gainer last week, delivering a 91.65 percent return and nearly doubling investors' money. The stock rose from Rs 895.55 to Rs 1,716.35 during the week. On Friday, it closed 10 percent higher at Rs 1,716.35 on the BSE. At this price, the company's market capitalisation is Rs 20,117.50 crore.

Anmol India's shares rose 69.22 percent last week. The stock price increased from Rs 10.04 to Rs 16.99. On Friday, the company's shares closed 10 percent higher at Rs 16.99 on the BSE. At this price, the company's market capitalisation is Rs 96.01 crore.

Marble City India's shares rose 68.10 percent last week. The stock climbed from Rs 102.50 to Rs 172.30. On Friday, it closed 19.28 percent higher at Rs 172.30 on the BSE. At this price, the company's market capitalisation is Rs 448.50 crore.

Ladderup Finance's shares jumped 63.24 percent last week. During the week, the stock rose from Rs 47.50 to Rs 77.54. On Friday, it closed 18.13 percent higher at Rs 77.54 on the BSE. At this price, the company's market capitalisation is Rs 70 crore.

Sun Retail's shares rose 58.06 percent last week. Over the week, the stock price increased from Rs 0.31 to Rs 0.49. On Friday, it closed 8.89 percent higher at Rs 0.49 on the BSE. At this price, the company's market capitalisation is Rs 7.60 crore.
