If you want a bike for the daily office commute that is easy on the pocket, easy to ride and reliable, the Honda Shine 100 DX is worth a look. Honda has positioned it slightly above the Shine 100, with an ex-showroom price of Rs 72,146, keeping it under Rs 75,000.
The design is aimed squarely at everyday use. A wider fuel tank and new graphics give it a bit more presence than an ordinary commuter bike. It comes in four colour options -- Imperial Red Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, Athletic Blue Metallic and Geny Gray Metallic.
On features, the digital instrument console stands out first. It shows distance to empty, average and live mileage, along with a service due indicator, making upkeep easier. A long, comfortable seat means daily riders are not troubled on longer stretches. Both self-start and kick-start options are offered. The tyres are tubeless and the bike gets alloy wheels. Its small turning radius makes it easy to manoeuvre through city traffic and narrow lanes.
