Redmi Note 17 Pro, Pro Max launch in India, one model packs 10,000mAh battery
Redmi has launched the Note 17 Pro and Note 17 Pro Max in India, with prices starting at Rs 36,999.
Redmi has expanded its Note 17 series in India with two new smartphones, the Redmi Note 17 Pro and the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. The company had already launched the Redmi Note 17 in India, and has now introduced these premium Pro models. Both phones are being pitched on their large batteries, AMOLED displays, camera setup and long software support.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro starts at Rs 36,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant costs Rs 39,999. It gets a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1280x2772 resolution, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and 3,500 nits peak brightness.
The phone runs on a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chip. For photography, it has a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 16MP selfie camera. It packs a 9,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging support. A 67W charger is included in the box.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max also has a 6.83-inch AMOLED display, but with some key differences in camera and performance. It runs on a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor, with a 50MP main camera with f/1.5 aperture, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 32MP selfie camera.
The Pro Max's standout feature is its 10,000mAh battery, which supports 100W fast wired charging and 27W reverse wired charging. It is priced at Rs 49,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, and Rs 55,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.
Both phones carry IP66, IP68 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. On the software side, they run HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. The company says the phones will get four major OS updates and six years of security updates. The Redmi Note 17 Pro goes on sale from September 17, while the Pro Max will be available to buyers from September 23.
