Bike stolen in Rajura recovered in Wardha, accused arrested
A Royal Enfield Classic stolen from outside a house in Chunala was traced to Wardha within days, and a 21-year-old labourer was arrested.
The Crime Detection Squad, or DB Squad, of Rajura (Chandrapur) police has cracked a theft case within days. A black Royal Enfield Classic Bullet stolen from Chunala, worth about one lakh rupees, was recovered and a 21-year-old accused from Wardha district was arrested.
According to information received, a resident of Chunala had parked his black Royal Enfield Classic motorcycle outside his house. An unknown thief stole it between 11 pm on August 12, 2026 and 11 am on September 1, 2026. On discovering the theft, the complainant went to Rajura police station and lodged a complaint. Based on this, police registered a theft case, crime number 713/2026, under section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), against an unidentified accused and began investigating.
Given the seriousness of the case, under the guidance of station house officer, Police Inspector Nitin Chincholkar, the DB Squad, led by Assistant Police Inspector Laxman Lokare, began its investigation. The team received a tip-off from a confidential informer, based on which a raid was carried out in Taloda (Kutki) village in Selu taluka of Wardha district. Police laid a trap and caught Anurag Praveen Dhabarde (21, a daily wage labourer, resident of Taloda Kutki, Wardha district). During questioning, the accused confessed to the theft. Police arrested him and recovered the stolen black Royal Enfield Classic motorcycle (registration number MH 34 AX 1120), valued at about one lakh rupees.
The entire operation was carried out under the guidance of Chandrapur Superintendent of Police Ayush Nopani, Additional Superintendent of Police Ishwar Katkade and Sub-Divisional Police Officer cum Assistant Superintendent of Police Kumar Sushant, by Police Inspector Nitin Chincholkar, DB Squad in-charge Assistant Police Inspector Laxman Lokare, Assistant Sub-Inspector Kishor Tumram, Police Head Constable Vicky Nirvan, Police Naik Anup Dange, and police personnel Shafiq Shaikh, Milind Jambhule, Mahesh Bolgodwar, Ramesh Bassi and Rajeev Dubey. The swift police action has caused alarm among vehicle thieves.
