Man breaks externment order, returns home in Nagbhir, held by police

Talodhi police carried out a major operation at Nanded Gopal Toli in Nagbhir taluka, catching a man who had violated an externment order against him. The Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) had externed the accused from the limits of Talodhi police station, but he had sneaked back to his house.

The accused, identified as Purushottam Maniram Bamble, 44, is a resident of Nanded Gopal Toli, Nagbhir taluka. The Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Brahmapuri, taking note of Bamble's disruptive activities, had issued a restrictive order on September 7, 2026 under Criminal Miscellaneous Application No. 192/2026 and Section 163(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). Under this order, Bamble was strictly barred from entering or staying within the limits of Talodhi (Balapur) police station between September 10, 2026 and September 11, 2026.

But even while the administrative order was in force, the accused secretly returned to his house in Nanded Gopal Toli on Thursday, September 10, and the Talodhi police station in-charge received a tip-off about this. On receiving the information, a team comprising police havaldar Prahlad Walde, police constable Subhash Pawale and sainik Nitesh Borkar immediately left for Nanded village on the station in-charge's instructions.

Police, accompanied by local police patil Sheetal Premdas Kichkape and sarpanch administrator Muralidhar Prabhakar Gaurkar, raided the accused's house without warning and found Purushottam Bamble sitting there in suspicious circumstances. A copy of the externment order was read out to him before witnesses, and he was asked whether he had taken proper permission from any competent authority, to which he gave an evasive answer. With the violation of the government order established, police prepared a panchnama and immediately took the accused into custody and brought him to the station.

A case has been registered against the accused, Purushottam Maniram Bamble, under Section 223 (disobedience of an order issued by a public servant) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023, on a complaint by police havaldar Prahlad Jituji Walde for deliberately defying a government order. The case is being investigated further by police havaldar Yogesh Tularam Shivankar under the supervision of station in-charge Assistant Police Inspector Rahul Guhe. Police administration has warned that similar strict action will be taken against anti-social elements who violate externment or restrictive orders issued to maintain law and order.
