Teaser for Marathi film 'Manjar' deepens mystery around its title

Marathi cinema keeps throwing up films that stand out, sometimes for their story and sometimes just for their title. One such film currently generating buzz is 'Manjar'. The unusual name had drawn attention from the time its poster came out, and the curiosity has only grown since the teaser was released.

The teaser shows a series of wild events unfolding one after another in the lives of four friends, turning their situation completely upside down. An attempt to sort out one problem only makes matters worse, spinning off into a fresh complication each time. The characters' frantic scrambling, the growing confusion as they try to cover for each other, and the comedy that follows all suggest the film will be a full-blown family entertainer. But where exactly the title 'Manjar' fits into all this remains unanswered, and the teaser does not give away the secret behind the name either.

The film stars Siddharth Menon, Omkar Bhojane, Tejas Raut and Bhagyashree Limaye in the lead roles, with the story built around them. Director Sushil Mahadeo said, "'Manjar' is a film that will make audiences laugh from the heart and keep them hooked till the end. 'Manjar' has been made under the H3O Motion Pictures and Just Right Films banners and is directed by Sushil Mahadeo. It has been produced by Harsh, Avinash Sharma, Hari Rajput, Bunty Nagi and Jasbir Nagi, while distribution is being handled by AA Films. The film, featuring a strong cast including Siddharth Menon, Omkar Bhojane, Tejas Raut, Bhagyashree Limaye, Sayaji Shinde, Anshuman Vichare, Vaishnavi Andhale and Ashwini Kalsekar, will release in cinemas on September 18. It remains to be seen what the real secret behind the title 'Manjar' turns out to be.
