World leaders are usually seen in formal suits, in serious meetings or addressing international platforms. But Mongolia's President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh broke from that mould with an unusual feat.

During a visit to the Mongolian Army's 084th Military Unit, the 58-year-old Khurelsukh walked into the middle of the soldiers, suddenly took off his suit jacket and lay down on a gym bench. He then lifted a 100-kilogram barbell and did not one or two but 20 bench presses in a row.

Despite lifting such heavy weight, his face showed no sign of fatigue or strain. After finishing the workout, he got up with ease, shook hands with the military officers and soldiers present, and put his jacket back on. The video of the moment was shared by the president himself on his official social media account and went massively viral online.

Khurelsukh's stamina has not come overnight. President of Mongolia since 2021, he served as an officer in the Mongolian People's Army before entering politics. It was during his military service that he developed an interest in bodybuilding and martial arts, which he has kept up even at the age of 58. This physical fitness and discipline have made him hugely popular among soldiers. A president performing a 100-kg bench press directly in front of troops is being seen as an extremely rare event.

Khurelsukh's personality is not limited to politics and fitness. He plays guitar in a rock band called Pulse. He is also passionate about heavy bikes and is the founder of Mongolia's Harley Davidson Fan Club. His multifaceted persona as a military officer, bodybuilder, rock guitarist, biker and head of state has led to him being counted among the world's most unique and stylish leaders.

As soon as the video was posted on X, Instagram and Facebook, users from around the world began reacting to it. On social media, users are calling him the "world's most powerful president". One user wrote, "World leaders should settle global problems through weightlifting contests instead of wars." Another user joked, "If there were a weightlifting contest among heads of state worldwide, Mongolia would certainly become the world's biggest superpower." Many users also expressed surprise at seeing such stamina at the age of 58.
