Kantara wins 9 SIIMA awards including Best Film

Hombale Films' "Kantara" made a strong showing at the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA), winning nine awards. The film was honoured with Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Actress, along with awards for Best Cinematographer, Best Music and Best Lyrics in separate categories. The ceremony recognised nearly every aspect of the film, from its story to its technical work.

"Kantara's" strong performance adds to Hombale Films' list of successes. The production house, known for its strong storylines and grand productions, has carved a distinct place for itself in Indian cinema and has previously delivered several successful films. The awards for "Kantara" are seen as another important milestone in the studio's journey.

At the SIIMA awards, "Kantara" left its mark across every front, including story, direction, acting, cinematography, music and lyrics, making the honour especially significant for the team. Hombale Films' past and upcoming films include the "KGF" franchise, "Kantara", the "Salaar" franchise and "Mahavatar Narsimha", and the studio has expanded by releasing films in different languages at a pan-India level, reflecting its strategy of reaching audiences across languages at the same time.

Meanwhile, Hombale Films' "Hanu-Man" is now also being released internationally, a project considered important for bringing Indian stories to audiences worldwide.
