India, Pakistan to clash in hockey at Asian Champions Trophy 2026 in Punjab

After facing off in cricket, India and Pakistan are set to clash on the hockey field as well. Whenever the two teams meet, fan excitement rises automatically. The upcoming prestigious international hockey tournament is the Men's Asian Champions Trophy 2026, which will be held in Punjab from October 27 to November 5, 2026. It was announced by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in the presence of Hockey India. The tournament will be played across two major cities in Punjab.

Punjab is fully ready to host this international hockey tournament named the Men's Asian Champions Trophy 2026. All matches of this prestigious tournament will be held in the two historic Punjab cities of Jalandhar and Mohali. Hockey India and the Punjab government have also officially announced the different phases and stadiums for the tournament.

The tournament will begin at the famous Olympian Surjit Singh Hockey Stadium in Jalandhar. The thrilling knockout-stage final will be played at the Olympian Balbir Singh Senior International Hockey Stadium in Mohali. The official opening ceremony of the tournament, along with cultural programmes, will be held at the Olympian Surjit Singh Hockey Stadium in Jalandhar on October 27, 2026. From October 27 to November 2, 2026, all six participating teams -- India, Pakistan, South Korea, Malaysia, China and Japan -- will play their league matches at this venue.
