Humanoid robot Maya's classical dance to Bollywood song goes viral on Instagram

Technology has advanced to the point where humanoid robots are not just walking around but dancing like humans too. One such video is trending on social media, showing a humanoid robot performing a classical-style dance to a Bollywood song.

In the video, the popular song "Mala Jau De" plays in the background as the robot performs a classical dance to its tune. The robot was specially trained for this performance.

The video has been shared on two Instagram accounts, @zikiguy and @mayatherobot. The creators also showed how the robot was trained for the classical dance. The robot wears a choker necklace, shoes, and a traditional choli and ghagra, along with a wig with soft hair, and performs the classical dance in this traditional attire. People have been left amazed watching the robot dance in such a traditional style, and the video is being widely liked on social media. The robot is named Maya.

The video's caption states that this is the world's first Indian classical dance performed through a humanoid robot, though this claim has not been officially confirmed yet. According to the post, the project was developed with the collaboration of students from Masters' Union University.

The video has received more than two lakh likes so far, and several users have reacted in the comments section. One user wrote, "Robot movies are really turning into reality."
