Gurugram: Car driver rams woman biker, flees after being asked to keep distance
A car driver hit a woman's sports bike on Golf Course Road in Gurugram and fled, after she asked him to maintain distance, a video shows.
A shocking incident has come to light on Golf Course Road in Gurugram, where a car driver rammed into a woman sports biker. The entire incident was captured on the biker's camera and is now going viral on social media. The car driver is alleged to have fled the scene without stopping after the collision.
The woman rider, Siya, who runs a social media page called 'rebelwheels_sia_', was riding with her group. She was on an Aprilia RS 457 sports bike. According to Siya, some boys in a car had been following her from the start. The car was being driven very aggressively, which led Siya to ask the driver to keep his distance from her bike.
According to Siya, the boys in the car asked her to stop her bike and also threatened her. Siya suspected that the boys in the car were intoxicated. When Siya felt the situation was escalating, she and a friend riding with her tried to block the car from moving forward and protect her. During this, the car driver suddenly cut across the bike and rammed hard into Siya's Aprilia RS 457. The collision was so forceful that Siya fell on the road, while her bike skidded several metres. The entire episode was recorded by the camera mounted on her bike.
The car driver is alleged to have fled instead of stopping to help after the collision. One of Siya's friends caught up with the car driver at a traffic signal ahead and tried to question him, but according to Siya, the driver refused to admit fault and left. After the incident, Siya shared the video of the accident on social media. She also made the car's number and the owner's name public and demanded strict action against the accused from Gurugram Police.
After the video went viral, social media users have expressed strong anger. People are tagging the Delhi-Haryana police and traffic police, demanding an FIR be registered against the car driver and strict action taken. However, no information about official police action or investigation in the case has come to light so far.
