Laxman Hake slams Abhijit Deepke over Jarange meeting, calls him a child

Manoj Jarange Patil's hunger strike has completed 14 days today. His health has been worsening due to the continuous fast, and the fight for Maratha reservation has reached a decisive turning point. Meanwhile, an important meeting of Maratha community members is to be held tomorrow at Antarwali Sarati, where a major announcement about the planned agitation in Mumbai could be made.

As Jarange Patil's health worsened, CJP's Abhijit Deepke went to meet him. But OBC leader Laxman Hake reacted sharply to this meeting. Hake targeted Deepke in harsh words and issued him a direct warning.

Speaking to the media, Laxman Hake said Abhijit Deepke is still a child, a minor activist. He said Deepke has come from America, so he does not have full knowledge of the caste realities and caste dominance situation in Maharashtra. Hake taunted that Deepke should first study more and study the Dalit movement.

Hake also alleged that supporting Manoj Jarange amounts to supporting caste dominance. He also questioned Deepke over Jarange's style of speaking.

Hake strongly criticised the stance Abhijit Deepke took on Sonam Wangchuk and Manoj Jarange Patil. He questioned how the two could even be compared, on one hand Padma Shri awardee, IIT engineer and educationist Sonam Wangchuk, and on the other Jarange.

"Abhijit Deepke is still a child, he is raw when it comes to social justice," Hake said. He advised Deepke to study social issues further.

Hake clarified that he supports the stand against education and corruption. But he also advised Deepke not to fall into the trap of Jarange Patil, who he said speaks the language of mob rule.

Laxman Hake gave a direct warning that if Deepke continues to repeatedly take a stance of supporting Jarange, he too will not be spared. Against this backdrop, the political dispute over the Maratha-OBC conflict in the context of Jarange's agitation is expected to heat up again.
