The wait is over for students who appeared for the joint CSIR UGC NET June 2026 exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the result and rank for the exam. Candidates who took the test can check their marksheet and rank on the official website csirnet.nta.nic.in. Along with the result, details of each candidate's individual performance have also been released. The exam marks and final answer key were released on August 29, while the result was declared late on the night of September 10.

The exam was held on July 17 and 18, 2026, in CBT mode. It was conducted for five subjects: Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Earth-Atmospheric-Ocean and Planetary Sciences, and Mathematical Sciences. A total of 1,87,739 candidates registered for the exam, of whom 1,50,057 candidates appeared. This time, the number of women outnumbered men.

According to the figures, 1,11,274 women had registered, of whom 90,380 appeared for the exam. Meanwhile, 76,463 men registered and 59,675 of them took the paper. In addition, 2 candidates in the third gender category registered and both appeared for the exam. The CSIR UGC NET June 2026 exam was held in 224 cities across the country.

The process to check the result is simple. Candidates first need to go to the official website csirnet.nta.nic.in. On the home page, they need to click on the link related to the CSIR UGC NET June 2026 result-scorecard. After that, they need to fill in the required login details and submit. Once this is done, the result and rank will appear on the screen. Candidates should then download the result and take a printout for future use.

On downloading the scorecard, candidates can see their name, parents' names, registration number, exam name, marks obtained, total marks, rank and result status. Candidates have been advised to keep both the digital copy and printout of the scorecard safe, as it may be required later for fellowship admission or study-related processes.
