Mother, son killed as container truck hits bike on Buldhana-Dhad road
A speeding container truck rammed a motorcycle near Shivsainagar on the Buldhana-Dhad road on Friday, killing a mother and son.
A mother and son were killed in a severe accident near Shivsainagar on the road from Buldhana to Dhad on Friday. A speeding container truck rammed their motorcycle head on, killing the mother on the spot, while her seriously injured son died during treatment.
The deceased are Anandabai Ramdas Jadhav, 65, a resident of Kolapur village in Jafrabad taluka of Jalna district, and her son Ankush Ramdas Jadhav, 27. The accident has brought grief to the Jadhav family during the festive season.
According to information received, Ankush Jadhav, a resident of Kolapur village in Jafrabad taluka of Jalna district, was riding towards Buldhana city on a motorcycle bearing registration number MH-21/BB-2842, with his mother Anandabai as a pillion rider. Near Shivsainagar on the Buldhana-Dhad road, a speeding container truck coming from the opposite direction crashed into their motorcycle with great force, destroying the bike.
Anandabai Jadhav suffered severe injuries in the collision and died on the spot, while Ankush Jadhav was critically injured. Local residents rushed to the scene after learning of the accident and began rescue efforts. Ankush was immediately admitted to a nearby hospital, where doctors began treating him. However, his condition remained critical, and he later died while battling for his life. The deaths of both mother and son in the same accident have devastated the Jadhav family.
The accident occurred during the Ganeshotsav and Jyeshtha Gauri Puja festivities, when households in the area were engaged in worship, aarti and prasad distribution. The sudden deaths of the mother and son from Kolapur village have cast a shadow of grief over the entire village.
