P.D. Patil brought economic change to farmers' lives, says Balasaheb Patil
At the annual general meeting of P.D. Patil Sahib cooperative water supply society in Masur, former minister Balasaheb Patil praised its founder's legacy.
The annual general meeting of the P.D. Patil Sahib Cooperative Water Supply Society was held at Masur, where former minister Balasaheb Patil said that the late P.D. Patil had brought economic change to farmers' lives by setting up the society. All the agenda items at the meeting were discussed and approved unanimously in a cordial atmosphere.
Balasaheb Patil said the Karad and Wakhan area had seen development in every respect. The hall in the society's office building is used by member farmers and local residents for religious, cultural or personal family functions. The society has also made the hall available free of cost for various free government health schemes. The government has also used the hall from time to time to implement the Election Commission's SIR and other schemes. He expressed satisfaction over this, while suggesting that the maintenance and repair of the office building be carried out on time.
The Karad-Wakhan area has now been included within the expanded limits of Karad Municipal Council, as a result of which the society's area of operation is shrinking. Former minister Patil suggested that everyone come together to find solutions to the various problems and questions facing member farmers and the society. The society's chairman, Prakash Patil, gave an account of the society's work. The society's secretary, Ramchandra Panwal, read out the notice. The society's vice chairman, Rajendra Mane, proposed the vote of thanks.
Those present at the meeting included former corporator Babaso Bhosale, former director Shivaji Kadam, Balasaheb Patil (Jadhav), Arun Patil, guide of Jyotirlinga Vikas Society, its chairman Jayant Patil and directors, directors of Karad Vividh Karyakari Society, directors of Sanjivani Nagari Sahakari Patsanstha and Krishnai Sahakari Milk Business Society, office bearers of various other societies, the irrigation department engineer of Sahyadri Sahakari Sugar Factory, Sanjay Kshirsagar, R.G. Tambe, and members and farmers of the society.
