BJP chief Nitin Nabin visits Deputy CM Eknath Shinde's home for Ganpati darshan
On his first Mumbai visit as BJP national president, Nitin Nabin offered prayers at Siddhivinayak, Lalbaugcha Raja and the homes of Maharashtra's CM and deputy CMs.
Just two days into Ganeshotsav, BJP national president Nitin Nabin arrived in Mumbai on a visit seen as significant since it was his first trip to the city after taking charge as national president. Soon after arriving, he visited several prominent Ganpati pandals in the city for darshan.
Nitin Nabin landed at Terminal 2 of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport at around 10.20 am, where BJP office-bearers, leaders and workers had gathered to give him a rousing welcome.
From the airport, he first went to the Siddhivinayak temple for darshan, and then headed to Lalbaugcha Raja, where he also offered prayers.
After these visits, Nitin Nabin went to the homes of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar to seek blessings before the Ganpati idols installed there. At Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's official bungalow, Nandanvan, Nitin Nabin offered devout prayers to Lord Ganesh and performed the aarti.
Eknath Shinde's family welcomed Nitin Nabin in the traditional manner. On this occasion, Nitin Nabin spoke candidly, met and interacted with the Shinde family, and extended Ganeshotsav greetings. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, BJP state president Ravindra Chavan, national general secretary (organisation) Shiv Prakash, BJP Mumbai president and MLA Amit Satam, daughter-in-law Vrushali Shrikant Shinde and other office-bearers were present.
Before arriving in Mumbai, Nitin Nabin had also completed a Ganpati darshan programme in Pune, where he offered prayers at the Siddhivinayak temple and Lalbaugcha Raja. His entire tour during Ganeshotsav was thus marked by temple visits and greetings.
