Ashish Jaiswal claims Jarange Patil's stir being run on someone's cue

State minister of state for finance Ashish Jaiswal, speaking in Nagpur, made serious allegations against Manoj Jarange Patil's agitation. He said Jarange Patil is running the agitation by turning a non issue into an issue, and that the people of Maharashtra have now understood this.

Jaiswal said the country runs on law and it is the validity committee's job to examine everything. He said that in the Madhuri Patil case, if something went wrong with the required documents in the ruling that came out, everyone has the right to seek relief by going to court. But he said it is not right to create an atmosphere of anarchy in Maharashtra in this manner and spread confusion in society about those who have done the most to secure justice for the Maratha community. He said clearly that all this is being done on someone's cue, out of malice and prejudice.

The minister of state further said that a false narrative is being spread today, creating confusion among the public about those who kept the Maratha community away from various schemes as well as those who worked to secure justice for the Maratha community. He said people within the Maratha community have now come to understand this too.

Asked about farmers, Ashish Jaiswal said that after excess rainfall in the state last year, the government had deposited a thousand crore rupees directly into farmers' accounts, and had also helped farmers on a large scale through loan waivers. He said every district is being monitored over the current crisis and farmers have never been left alone. He said the government keeps facing financial difficulties, but farmers are not told about those difficulties, they are instead helped.

Asked about Rohit Pawar, Jaiswal said the Disha Salian case is a process and only the officers investigating it can give the right answer, but every incident should be investigated impartially. He said Rohit Pawar keeps making various attempts to bring himself into the news, and wished him well.

He also said the current situation is discussed in the cabinet every week and all guardian ministers have been directed to conduct district level reviews. He said the chief minister himself is monitoring the matter and an appropriate decision will be taken after examining the total loss figures.
