Triumph cuts prices of Speed 400 and Tracker 400 by up to Rs 7,000

Triumph has given customers in the 400 cc segment big news, cutting prices of its Speed 400 and Tracker 400 motorcycles significantly. The 400 series prices had been raised only two months ago, and have now been cut instead.

Under the new pricing, the Speed 400 is down Rs 6,000 to Rs 2.34 lakh, while the Tracker 400 is down Rs 7,000 to Rs 2.42 lakh.

The Tracker 400 is powered by a 349 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder TR-series engine that produces 40 PS at 8,750 rpm and 32 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox, ride-by-wire throttle and an assist-and-slip clutch. Its flat-track-inspired design gives it a distinct look, with a wide handlebar, flyscreen, seat cowl and number-board graphics.

The Speed 400 uses the same 349 cc TR-series engine, producing 37 PS at 8,500 rpm and 32 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm, and also gets a 6-speed gearbox and assist-and-slip clutch. It has 43 mm USD big piston front forks and a gas-charged rear monoshock aimed at a more controlled riding experience.

The Speed 400 features 17-inch alloy wheels, switchable traction control, full-LED lighting, an analog-digital instrument cluster, a gear-position indicator and USB-C charging. It has a seat height of 803 mm, a wheelbase of 1,386 mm, a 13-litre fuel tank and weighs 179 kg.

The Tracker 400 has a seat height of 805 mm and weighs about 181 kg, with the same 13-litre fuel tank. Prices of the rest of the lineup remain unchanged: the Speed T4 stays at Rs 2.09 lakh, the Scrambler 400 X at Rs 2.65 lakh, the Scrambler 400 XC at Rs 2.99 lakh and the Thruxton 400 at Rs 2.75 lakh. The Scrambler 400 X has also been given a new colour option.
