Shiv Thakare's birthday: from delivering newspapers to winning The 50

Actor Shiv Thakare is celebrating his birthday today, September 9. Shiv, who became a household name through reality shows like Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi, has now added another big win to his name. He has won the trophy for the first season of the reality show The 50. But the Shiv who is at the top of his popularity today did not have it easy getting there. His journey, which began with financial hardship, struggle and odd jobs, has now reached the trophy of a major reality show.

Shiv Thakare belongs to an ordinary Marathi family from Amravati in Maharashtra. The family faced financial difficulties several times. At one point in his life, Shiv even lived in a slum settlement. Fighting these circumstances, he began trying to help support the family financially from childhood itself.

During his audition for Roadies, Shiv had shared his own struggle story. To help his family, he worked at his father's paan shop. Apart from that, he sometimes delivered newspapers and sometimes sold milk packets. His elder sister also kept helping him through this period.

Along with working at the paan shop, Shiv also used his dancing skills to earn money. He used to teach dance to children in his neighbourhood. This earned him between 10,000 and 22,000 rupees a month.

With these earnings, he helped support his family financially, spent on himself, and saved money for his sister's wedding. Because of his hard work, the family's circumstances gradually improved and they moved from the slum settlement to a slightly better place.

Shiv Thakare began his career with the reality show Roadies. During the audition, he did not just show his talent but also spoke openly about his struggles and his family's circumstances.

The gang leaders were impressed by Shiv's confidence and his story of struggle. Several of them expressed interest in taking him into their gang. But Shiv decided to join Rannvijay's gang. He had promised his mother that if he got selected, he would join her team. Hearing this, Rannvijay too became emotional. Shiv reached the semifinal of the show.

After Roadies, Shiv's career took a big turn. He got the opportunity to be part of Bigg Boss Marathi. In this show, Shiv drew viewers' attention with his shrewd moves and strategy.
