Roshan Bhondekar's book on parents to release in January 2027
Nagpur-based author Roshan Bhondekar's Hindi book on parents' lives and sacrifices will be published by Prabhat Prakashan in January 2027.
A new Hindi book by Nagpur-based author Roshan Bhondekar is set to reach readers in January 2027. Titled 'Jeevan Ki Pehli Paathshala - Mata-Pita Se Mili Jeevan Ki Raah', it will be published by Prabhat Prakashan, a well-known name in Hindi publishing.
The book focuses on the lives of parents, their struggles, sacrifices and household responsibilities. It also explores how large a role parents play in shaping their children's personalities.
The idea behind the book is that a person's first education begins not at school but at home. Learning to speak, learning to walk or how to behave, as well as making decisions, facing difficult situations and understanding society's values, are all shaped by parents and family throughout life.
Author Roshan Bhondekar's family background is linked to the Tumsar and Nagpur areas of Bhandara district. The book tries to understand the lives of parents through these family experiences and memories. It also mentions situations where, despite limited means, the parents always prioritised their children's education and a better future.
A notable feature of the book is that childhood events which seemed very ordinary at the time have now been revisited with the understanding that comes with age. The decisions parents made, their patience during difficult times, their responsibilities towards the family and the compromises they made for their children were not fully understood then, but their importance becomes clearer with age.
This story about the role of parents is not limited to one family alone. In many households across India, parents have made personal sacrifices and faced socio-economic difficulties for the sake of the next generation's future. In that sense, the book tries to record a larger shared family experience through personal memories. The author has tried to put his parents' lives and the lessons learnt from them into words during their lifetime.
Amid today's changing lifestyles and busy routines, the shift in how families talk and spend time together also makes this subject relevant to the present.
