Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G goes on sale, bank cards get up to Rs 5,000 off

Xiaomi's newly launched Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G has gone on sale in India. The company has started selling it on Amazon and its official website. The phone has drawn attention for its large 9,000mAh battery, Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor and 50MP camera.

The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 36,999, while the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model costs Rs 39,999.

As part of the launch offer, buyers get an instant discount of up to Rs 5,000 on payment through SBI, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank and IDFC First Bank cards, which can significantly lower the effective price.

The phone has a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED Super Sunlight Display with a resolution of 2772x1280 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness goes up to 3,500 nits. It also has an in-display fingerprint sensor.

It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Its biggest highlight is the 9,000mAh battery, which supports 67W HyperCharge fast charging. It also offers 22.5W wired reverse charging, allowing other devices to be charged from the phone.

On the back is a 50MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and OIS support, along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The front camera for selfies and video calls is 16MP with f/2.4 aperture.

The phone carries IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. It runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. The company says it will receive four years of software updates and six years of security updates.

For connectivity, the phone has 4G, 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, an IR blaster, NFC and a USB Type-C port. With a large battery, AMOLED display and strong cameras, the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G is now on sale in India.
