Flipkart Big Billion Days sale date leaked in viral poster

Every year, ahead of Diwali, shoppers eagerly await Flipkart's Big Billion Days sale. The company has not yet announced an official date, but a poster going viral on social media is being said to have leaked the sale date.
A user on X shared a poster for the Flipkart sale. According to the poster, this year's Big Billion Days sale will begin on October 9. The poster also carries details of bank offers, stating that a 10 percent discount will be available on Axis and ICICI Bank cards.
The sale will begin for everyone on October 9, but those with a Flipkart Plus membership will get access a day earlier, from the night of October 8. As always, Plus members get a head start on shopping, which benefits them since popular phones tend to go out of stock quickly.
While the sale offers discounts across categories, mobile phones draw the most attention every year. Phones from brands including Apple, Samsung, Motorola, Poco and Realme are expected at significantly reduced prices. Last year, discounts of up to Rs 20,000 were offered on iPhones, and big offers are expected again this time on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 15. Besides mobiles, home appliances such as TVs, refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, laptops and soundbars will also be available at discounts of up to 75 percent. There will also be exchange offers, letting buyers trade in an old phone or TV for extra discount, along with a No Cost EMI option.
Last year, the sale began on September 23, with early access for Plus and Black members from September 22. This year the sale is arriving slightly later because Diwali itself falls later, but the offers are expected to be better than last year. Last month, Flipkart ran its Freedom Sale in August, which also had a 10 percent instant discount and saw several new phone launches. Amazon also ran a Freedom Sale, and its Great Indian Festival sale is expected in October as well.
Both sales tend to fall around the same time, so shoppers can compare prices across both sites and buy wherever it is cheaper. Those planning to buy a mobile phone or another big-ticket item may want to wait a little longer. October 9 is not far off, and the sale is expected to bring savings of thousands of rupees.
