Bumrah's yorker troubles Vaibhav Suryavanshi in nets ahead of Afghanistan T20s

India and Afghanistan begin a three-match T20 series at the Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in Delhi from tomorrow. The series has drawn extra attention because Team India's star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is making a full comeback from injury. In the nets session held in Delhi ahead of the series, Bumrah was seen bowling with impressive rhythm and pace.

A video from the nets session has surfaced showing Bumrah bowling to Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Bumrah's return has generated huge excitement among Indian cricket fans. The series is also seen as significant preparation for Team India ahead of the 2026 Asian Games, and Bumrah's return has strengthened India's bowling attack further.

During the nets session, Bumrah tested 15-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi with his bowling. In this practice session, Suryavanshi appeared to struggle against Bumrah's deliveries. A video of the moment has gone viral, posted by Twitter user Tanuj Lakhina (@tanujlakhina) on 11 September 2026.

After a long injury layoff, Bumrah has returned to the side at full strength. But with major tournaments and tough tours ahead, the team management will closely monitor his fitness and workload through this series. He has proved his fitness by bowling with pace and rhythm in the Delhi nets session, but all eyes remain on how he performs in an actual match.

During the practice session, Bumrah started with accurate good-length deliveries. Unable to gauge his swing and pace, Suryavanshi had to leave the early balls and appeared to struggle. Bumrah then bowled a sharp, fast yorker. The delivery was dangerous enough that Suryavanshi had to hurriedly bring his bat down to block it and somehow defend himself. On the very next ball, Bumrah's pace also drew an outside edge from Suryavanshi's bat.
