Nagpur: Child abducted in family dispute, accused arrested in three hours
A man abducted his neighbour's 14-year-old son during a domestic dispute in Nagpur and was arrested within three hours.

A domestic dispute in Nagpur escalated to the point where a man, in a fit of anger, abducted a 14-year-old boy and threatened to kill the boy's father. The case was reported in the area under Nandanvan police station. Police acted swiftly and nabbed the accused within three hours, handing the boy back safely to his family.
According to police, the accused has been identified as Siddharth Arun Pilewan, a resident of Shastri Nagar, Nandanvan. Police said Siddharth had an argument with his wife that escalated into a physical altercation.
Following the fight, the boy's father took Siddharth's wife to hospital for treatment and tried to persuade Siddharth not to take the dispute further. Police said this attempt to mediate angered Siddharth, who then took the 14-year-old boy away from his home in a fit of rage.
According to police, the accused took the boy to NIT Garden and called the boy's father from there. He reportedly threatened to harm the boy if his wife was not brought back home immediately.
As soon as the complaint was received, Crime Branch Unit 4 swung into action and began investigating. Based on technical information and inputs from sources, police traced the accused's location to the NIT Garden area.
A police team cordoned off the area and arrested Siddharth. His two-wheeler was also seized during the operation.
It took police about three hours from receiving the complaint to catching the accused. The boy was rescued safely and handed over to his family.
The Nandanvan police are further investigating the case.
