Over 300 women and children join Sawan celebration in Nagpur

The Angel Ladies Club held its Sawan Celebration 2026 in Nagpur city. The event was held at the city's Amrit Bhavan with great enthusiasm, with more than 300 women taking part and the venue seeing a festive atmosphere.

Two special guests were invited to the event. One was architect Retuja Tapan Jaiswal, who runs Zero Degree Lounge, and the other was Dr. Varsha Sarda. The event was organised by Angel Ladies Club founder and head Savita, led by Zero Degree Lounge's Sequel Asawa. Toyota and New Era Hospital also supported the event.

The programme included a kids' fancy dress competition, at which Kavya Appar was present as brand ambassador. Advika Bhadule placed first in the competition, Shreya Mishra came second, while Sthavir Bhagat took third place with an astronaut theme. Shreyansh Siddharth Jain was given a consolation prize.

In the cooking competition, Manorama Kachhwaha placed first, Shivani Chaware second and Geetika Rathi third. This was followed by an idol makeup competition, in which Sawali Roshan Ganvir placed first, Rasika Pramod Bhakate second and Shubhangi Shete third. Three winners were also chosen in the mehendi competition, with Ayushi Jain first, Mehak Verma second and Ruchika Shrikhande third.

In the Mangalagaur competition, the Punyashlok Ahilyabai Holkar Group-Sky Nari Shakti Group won first place. The Parjanya Sakhi Group came second, while the Rockstar Group took third place.

The kids' fancy dress competition was judged by Malika Taj Fatima and Dr. Goldie Sanjay Yede, while the Mangalagaur competition was judged by Akash Vijay Rao Kalamkar and Dhwani Sharma. Celebrity makeup artist Aasifa Sayyed also held a special "Look and Learn" seminar, in which she shared makeup-related knowledge with the women present.

The programme's digital partner was Growthminds Digital Marketing, run by Faizal Barade. The event was hosted by anchor and entertainer Dr. Ansh Randhe, who kept the proceedings lively throughout.
