Several parts of Maharashtra are expected to see cloudy skies and scattered rain on Wednesday, September 9. Mumbai will see clouds moving through the sky for much of the day. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Mumbai could receive light rain, though no weather warning has been issued so far.
Mumbai's minimum temperature today is expected to be around 26 degrees Celsius and the maximum around 33 degrees Celsius. The chance of rain in the morning is estimated at about 22 percent, with wind speed around 3 kilometres per hour. In the afternoon, the temperature is likely to be around 28 degrees, but the feels-like temperature could touch around 32 degrees. Humidity levels during this time are expected to be around 74 percent.
By evening, temperatures in Mumbai and surrounding areas are likely to be around 28 degrees Celsius. The chance of rain drops to around 19 percent at this time, while wind speed could rise to 16 kilometres per hour. At night, the temperature is expected to stay around 28 degrees, with wind speed of about 17 kilometres per hour.
Nagpur, meanwhile, will see hot and humid weather today. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum around 27 degrees Celsius. The morning temperature was recorded at around 28 degrees Celsius, with humidity reaching about 92 percent. Sunrise is expected at 5:38 am and sunset at 6:08 pm.
On air quality, Nagpur recorded an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 77 today, which falls in the Moderate category. PM 2.5 levels were recorded at 35 and PM 10 at 68. People with respiratory issues have been advised to avoid prolonged exposure to polluted conditions.
Among other cities, Mumbai's temperature is expected to range between 26 and 33 degrees Celsius, Pune between 20 and 31 degrees Celsius, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar between 22 and 34 degrees Celsius, and Satara between 21 and 29 degrees Celsius. Pune is likely to see clouds along with rain and thunder, while Sambhajinagar and Satara could also receive light rain.
