Maruti Suzuki set to facelift 5 models, from Fronx to Grand Vitara
Maruti Suzuki is preparing facelifts for the Fronx, Grand Vitara, Ertiga, WagonR and Invicto after updating the Baleno and Brezza.
After facelifts for the Baleno and Brezza, Maruti Suzuki is now eyeing its other popular models. The company's Fronx, Grand Vitara, Ertiga, WagonR and Invicto are five models that could get a facelift update in the coming time. This information could be quite useful for those planning to buy a new car.
The new Fronx model is expected to see changes in features along with design. It could get features such as Level 2 ADAS, autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning. The 360 degree camera is also expected to be retained. As for the engine, a 1.2 litre, 3 cylinder Z-Series petrol engine could be offered, producing 83 bhp of power and 112 Nm of torque. There is also talk of a CNG option along with series-hybrid technology.
The Grand Vitara could get an update during the 2026 festive season or in early 2027. It could get a new grille, bumper, LED headlamps and 17 inch alloy wheels. The cabin could get features such as a 10.1 inch touchscreen, a 10.25 inch digital driver display, premium audio and a powered tailgate. Level 2 ADAS could also be a big draw in this model.
The Ertiga facelift is likely to focus more on design and features rather than major mechanical changes. It is expected to get a new touchscreen, a 360 degree camera and an updated exterior. Petrol, CNG and manual-automatic options are likely to continue.
Discussion around a new WagonR update has intensified after it was spotted during testing. It is expected to see changes to the headlamps, grille, bumper and taillamps. The 1.2 litre Z12E petrol engine could be the biggest update in this model. The CNG option is also likely to be retained.
The premium MPV Invicto could also get a facelift in 2027. It could get a new grille, 19 inch alloy wheels and new colour options, along with a bigger touchscreen, 360 degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, JBL audio, ventilated seats and wireless charging. The current 2.0 litre petrol-hybrid powertrain is expected to continue.
