Kinetic launches DX+ 3.1 kWh electric scooter at Rs 1.27 lakh with 132 km range

Electric scooter makers are continuing to roll out models with more range and modern features to attract customers. In this line, Kinetic has launched an updated 3.1 kWh version of its popular DX+ scooter. The new model has an ex-showroom price of Rs 1,27,650. By comparison, the regular DX 3 kWh is priced at Rs 1,18,599.

The new Kinetic DX+ 3.1 kWh gets a larger LFP battery. According to the company, this battery gives it an IDC certified range of up to 132 km. In actual use, the scooter can run about 105 to 110 km on a single charge. This range could prove useful for daily commuting, office trips or running errands in the city.

The scooter has a hub-mounted BLDC motor that delivers a maximum power of 3.8 kW. It has two riding modes, Range and Power. It also features K-Coast Tech, which recovers energy while slowing down. The battery takes about 3 hours to charge from 0 to 80 percent. Notably, a retractable charging cable is offered as a standard feature.

On features, the DX+ comes with Reverse Assist, Park Assist, telematics and IP67 water and dust protection. The under-seat storage is 37 litres, offering enough space for everyday items. The scooter has 12-inch tubeless tyres on both wheels and a ground clearance of 165 mm. For braking, it has a 220 mm disc at the front and a 130 mm drum brake at the rear.

The Kinetic DX+ 3.1 kWh is available in Black, Silver, Blue, White and Red colours. The company has also announced festive offers with this model. These include benefits worth Rs 3,000 on the DX+, an extended warranty worth Rs 8,999, an Amazon cashback of Rs 5,000 and a PM E-Drive benefit of Rs 5,000.
