Jos Buttler becomes first batter to score 15,000 T20 runs, breaks Pollard's record

Buttler became the first batter in the world to complete 15,000 runs in T20 cricket. He played the innings with the help of four fours and a six. With this innings, Buttler also overtook West Indies great Kieron Pollard to become the leading run-scorer in the T20 format. Pollard had scored a total of 14,999 runs in 671 innings across 754 T20 matches.

The 36-year-old Buttler reached the 15,000-run mark in the 497th innings of his 528th match. He now has 9 centuries and 107 half-centuries in T20 cricket. Former India captain Virat Kohli, who has retired from T20 Internationals, is sixth on this list with 14,218 runs.
